Hello Everyone! My first novel, Beleco, has been published.
First of all, I would like to say many thanks to my family and friends for supporting me not only through the writing process, but life in general. I would also like to give a shout-out to Amazon KDP for providing a platform for independent publishing to first time novelists such as myself.
About Beleco
Beleco tells the story of Iva Michaelson, a girl living in Austin in March 2014. When she finds out she is Iva LeBlanc, royal heir and center of a prophecy to the twenty-ninth century kingdom of Beleco, she embarks on a journey throughout human history to not only fulfill her destiny but figure out who she really.
Beleco first began as an idea in the Fall of 2013. A simple idea of a hero’s journey structure, influenced by Greek Mythology, inspired by the lessons learned in my Honors: Chronicles of Narnia class at St. Edward’s University. With every year brought on more inspiration from my classes to current events to the people I met along the way. Now, 7 years later, after mapping, outlining, writing, editing, re-writing and re-editing and even self-designing a cover, Beleco has become a concrete concept beyond the Files folder in my laptop. This novel has been my escape through highs and lows, through grad school and multiple jobs, through moves and even a pandemic. I’m ecstatic to bring this into the world for everyone to read and share.
